Moving to the Next Level: Amplifying Service through Social Action, Engagement, and Sisterhood
The Tampa Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is excited to launch our new program year, with a focused mission to deepen our service and impact in the community. This year, we are committed to empowering and educating the community on the importance of voter registration, active participation in elections, and understanding policies that directly affect us.
Additionally, we are enhancing our influence by encouraging increased member participation in programs and activities that provide tangible benefits to the areas we serve. By fully engaging our members and leveraging their diverse skills, we will elevate our service to even greater heights.
We invite the community to join us in the events and programs we will host throughout the year as we uphold our core values of Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood, and Social Action. Together, we are determined to take the Tampa Alumnae Chapter and our community to the Next Level, creating meaningful change and lasting impact.
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated was founded on January 13, 1913, by 22 collegiate women at Howard University to promote academic excellence and provide assistance to those in need. The Founders of Delta Sigma Theta envisioned an organization committed to sisterhood, scholarship, service, and addressing the social issues of the time. Since its founding, Delta Sigma Theta has become one of the preeminent service-based sororities, with more than 300,000 initiated members and over 1,000 chartered chapters worldwide.
