The Tampa Alumnae Chapter is known for dedicated service and commitment to our community, as well as for award winning programs and scholarships. It is through our signature events that we are able to sustain programs of excellence while offering scholarships in excess of $20,000 annually. Our signature events have become mainstays in the Tampa Bay area and beyond.
Jabberwock is Tampa Alumnae’s longest standing fundraising event which allows us to celebrate our youth and their achievements. This event, unlike the others includes a period of self-development and cultural enrichment. The culminating event has typically been a debutante and/or debutante-master presentation in which we have crowned Miss Jabberwock and/or Mr. Jabberwock. Our first Jabberwock was held in 1948, with Miss Violet Lariez taking home the coveted crown.
Queen of Hearts is Tampa Alumnae’s signature charity gala event. Since its debut on February 13, 1954 it has been a Tampa mainstay event. Mr. Perry Sullivan and Miss Addie Turner had the honor or being crowned King and Queen before a reported crowd of 700. The event continues to grow and always promises to be an evening of glitz and glamour. We also proudly recognize our community partners and leaders during this biennial event.
Tampa Teen Idol is our newest event that will galvanize our youth and allow us to showcase the vocal talent of Tampa’s Teens.
Club Delta is for the young at heart. Whether it is a “crimson & cream affair” or a “day masquerade party” it is sure to put the “fun” in fundraiser.
Reds and White is our annual friend-raiser and gives members the opportunity to show love to our many supporters.
